7GIF no longer starts and shows an error window, what can I do?
Try to delete the file "settings.ini", it can be found into the directory of 7GIF, or otherwise in "C:\ProgramData\7GIF\" ("C:\" being the drive where Windows is installed).
If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling 7GIF or the .Net Framework 3.5 (required only on Windows XP and Vista) or contact us for support.
I have associated GIF files to 7GIF but when I try to open a GIF from Windows\File Explorer, 7GIF does not open, how can I solve this issue?
Try to reassociate GIF files to 7GIF from the "Advanced Settings" window of 7GIF, in the "Associate GIF files" tab. If this doesn't work, try using the Windows "Default programs" editor to bind GIF files to 7GIF.
If the problem persists you may need to temporarily disable your security software (like an antivirus, firewall or antispyware) as it may be preventing 7GIF to write into the Windows registry.
There are multiple user accounts on my system, how does 7GIF manages saved settings for all users?
7GIF general settings are shared by every user while the association of GIF files to 7GIF must be enabled for each user.
If I try to search for updates online, 7GIF always tells me that there are problems with the server and to try again at a later time, how do I solve this issue?
It can happen, rarely, that the update server is unreachable, try again in few minutes or hours. If the issue persist, it's possible that the communication is blocked by a security software (like an antivirus or a firewall), check the settings of your security software to allow 7GIF to communicate with the web.
